Chogolisa, standing at 7,668 meters in the Karakoram Range of Pakistan, is a majestic and challenging peak known for its stunning snow-covered ridges and pyramid-like shape. It is located near the Baltoro Glacier, close to the famous Gasherbrum and K2 peaks.
The peak offers multiple climbing routes, with the most famous being the Southwest Ridge, attempted by legendary climber Hermann Buhl in 1957. Due to heavy snowfall and unpredictable weather conditions, the expedition requires excellent mountaineering skills and proper acclimatization.
Expeditions usually begin from Skardu, followed by a trek through the breathtaking Baltoro Glacier. Though Chogolisa remains less climbed compared to other Karakoram giants, its technical difficulty and spectacular views make it a dream destination for experienced climbers.

It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.
